Life Time Of A Mealworm

During spring, a female mealworm beetle lays a number of eggs up to 275 eggs which will hatch in 4 to 14 days. The eggs will then hatch in to larvae which will happen to spend up to 2 years before they go into their pupae stage depending on the environment they are living in. The pupae will spend 7 to 24 days in this stage before they emerge into beetles. After turning into beetles, they can live for 4 to 6 weeks before they die.
